At Ohpen I was part of the .NET team, doing backend work on existing and new applications. I was hired to start on the API for a new application, but soon a large part of my time was spend on maintenance of an existing application.
Ohpen develops a cloud banking platform. All cloud infrastructure was hosted on AWS. As DevOps engineers we were responsible for development and deployment. All infrastructure was set up in code with Terraform. While the older applications where huge monoliths build on older technologies like WCF, the new applications where set up as micro services running in lambda’s on AWS.
At Bank J.Van Breda & C° I started with the development of a website with the HubSpot CMS. Later I did some work on the back office application which is written in C#
At Baloise I was part of the team that is developing the gonna.be platform. It was built on Umbraco and uses Microsoft Bot Framework to facilitate a chat bot. Angular was used on the front-end. Because the application needs to be attractive to end users, a lot of effort has been put in the look and feel of the application.
Initially I had to focus on the styling. We used the molecular design philosophy together with BEM naming and the fractal style guide. This showed to be a great trio.
Later my focus shifted more to the Angular and Umbraco parts of the application.
My first project at SD Worx was the conversion of an older WPF application to a modern AngularJS application. I worked alone on this.
Later I joined a team that was working on an internal application. It used the same technology stack but upgraded later from AngularJS to Angular and the new Bootstrap. I worked on a solution to run the old application in the new Angular application.
